For all y’all like minded nerds, here’s what I do in the sound world.

Front of House/FOH

There’s a sense of satisfaction that I get from doing FOH that nothing else quite gives me. There’s a hint of adrenaline, there’s a flexing of a creative muscle, there’s an exercising of my technical mind…it can be quite exhilarating! Whether it’s a festival where thousands of bodies are rhythmically invested, or it’s 150 souls being healed by a song and a voice…I treasure being a part of bringing that experience to life.

FOH + Tour Managing/TM

I consider my skills to be personable, and well organized on the fly as I’m often thrown into situations where I’m helping figure it out for the team, often in the craziest and most random circumstances. The various situations have prepared me to balance both Front of House and Tour Managing when the situation calls for it. Although the jobs entails a higher level of stress, I enjoy contributing as an active part of the team and fulfilling both roles when needed.

Production Managing

A large part of making the show/tour happen is the planing and advance work that is needed. I know what it takes to start with the concept of the show and see it through to load out.

I have spent countless hours coordinating all the moving parts of a show, from staging and power to lighting, audio, video, pyro…and all the stuff that people forget about (security, facilities, vendors, parking, ticketing, VIP, green room, medical etc…)

Monitors

I’m not happy if the artist isn’t happy. I’m not happy if the band isn’t happy. I’m not happy if my toast is burnt too much. I like a little bit of burnage, but not like a brick.

Gear

I’ve been very lucky to work with high end products from great manufactures. Starting with a great source, and going all down the signal chain, I’ve had great relationships with manufactures who care about making world class products.

DPA, SSL Live, VUE and Empire Ears are just some of the tools I use on a regular basis to get a demanding job done superbly.
